Aims and Objectives

Wollumbin Dreaming was formed and incorporated in September 2002 as a not-for-profit association and the aims and objectives broadened to include commitment to promoting the education of the general community about traditional indigenous culture, the impact of white settlement and seeking solutions to contemporary community issues through collaboration, consultation and community participation.

  • To support, promote and effect the education process pertaining to issues of the Environment, Natural Law and Spiritual Development.
  • To encourage people to recognise their spiritual link with Mother Earth.
  • To provide venues for the dissemination of information from the Bundjalung Elders to the broader community.
  • To promote, honor and support the teachings of Traditional Indigenous Values in assisting the creation of a new perspective for the guidance of future generations.
  • To promote an awareness of the natural environment by emphasising conservation issues and sustainable technologies.
  • To promote personal healing, healing between diverse groups of people and healing between humans and the natural environment.
  • To promote the awareness of Wollumbin as a mountain of Sacred Significance.
  • To assist the Bundjalung Nation in welcoming all cultures to share in their spiritual connection with Mother Earth and to hon our those who respect the natural environment and human issues in a CELEBRATION OF UNITY.
