As a parent, you may be overrun with the modern trends of society. Indeed, there are enough gadgets, new music, and plenty more that can pressure you into giving into your teen. Deciding on some of these items can be tricky – and potentially costly.

The smartphone is one of the more popular devices today. It is on the cutting edge of mobile technology, increasing in features as netbooks and tablets are also fighting for their share. Believe it or not, there are smartphones that are capable of displaying 3D and HD graphics, for instance, Yes, the competition and technology of smartphones is quite advanced.

A smartphone for your teen could be a tricky decision to make. After all, they can contribute to a high bill for one, in addition to being a distraction in more ways than one. But not all of these consequences has to be negative.

There are some good reasons why it might be good for your teen. A smartphone can help him or her with their schoolwork, and a number of other apps that can add efficiency to their life. It might not be a bad option.

Consider a smartphone for your teen. It can simplify the technology in their lives, and provide some great features that are worthwhile. You might consider limiting it if it becomes a distraction, lending to the smartphone being a nice reward for good grades, hard work, and anything else relevant. Give a smartphone for your teen some thought, and let it be a positive resource for your teen.

Teens and fashion can certainly go hand-in-hand with each other. An unfortunate consequence of this can be found on a credit card bill, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Discounted fashion options should remain a focus for teens and parents alike.

Evaluating some great local options can get you started with saving money on fashion. You may need to discover some hidden gems, such as discount boutiques and outlet malls. Use the Internet for leads, ask around, and do what you need to do to find them – they’re out there.

On the other side of the market, there are plenty of online fashion stops that cater to those on a budget. From major retailers with good prices to niche clothing stores on the Internet, you can find some great deals. Bookmark them and check them regularly. Alternatively, and serving as a helpful tip, follow them on Facebook/Twitter and receive their updates and specials to save time.

Be aware of these and other options. You might know someone who is trying to sell some items. Perhaps looking through ads in the newspaper will spark your interest. You never know what you may find when you are in bargain-hunting mode.

Build a repertoire of locations and websites where you can obtain fashions for reasonable prices. These sources can be a wonderful way to keep the interest in fashion alive, as it can certainly destroy it by virtue of simple economics. Explore some possibilities to get started on saving money in the world of fashion.

Why Not Button the Top Two?

There are some things about fashion that seem, well…unnecessary. Like the appendix in your tummy. Or maybe your pinky toe. It’s there, but what’s the purpose? This goes the same for one particular fashion mystery that may stun the masses for years to come….

The indomitable, enigmatic, and strangely ‘useless’ top two buttons of your collared shirt!

What are they for? Why are they there? These are timeless questions. No one uses them, no one cares about them. Heck, even if you wear a tie, it’s still a fashion statement to wear that tie without buttoning the top two buttons!

Fear not, fashion friends — there is an answer. Clothing and fashion exist as a truly evolved entity. You see, it’s not about the privilege of wearing clothes; it’s about the options of wearing clothes the way you want! Surely, you’d expect to see all your favorite jeans, shirts, shorts, tanks, jackets, and coats worn for their specific purpose. But the fact remains: we’re the human race, and we’re individualistic. We want to make a statement that represents us — not our clothes.

Fashion has provided the opportunity, the freedom, to choose how we like to wear our clothes. We don’t button the top two buttons, because it feels more comfortable. We’re a lot freer. We’re even more appealing. At one point, though, it was a fashion statement to button it all the way up. But as we all know — fashion changes almost on a daily basis.

You never know — it might be a complete fashion in to keep all those buttons buttoned. But until then — dress how you want to dress. That is the most important command of all.
